More About Me

The part of my website where I share a few things about myself which are not related to work.
So, this is me, taken a couple of years ago. Note the “outdoor activities” attire – more on that later…
Walking
SK22
This is where I live – the SK22 region of England - which is half-way between the Peak District (in green) and the city of Manchester. The best of both worlds, and means that I have views like this almost from my front window...
How could you not want to live here? And it looks just as good, perhaps even more dramatic, in winter...

Lake in winter
That was a cold day.
When not working, my main leisure activity is fitness of various types, such as running…
Running
Tough Guy
The occasional endurance event (bit of a sense-of-humour failure on that one) and generally taking advantage of the local landscape.
Kinder Reservoir
More recently I’ve tended towards activities which promote core strength and stability, as well as working with a Personal Trainer to help maintain good technique. This still is from a video taken by my PT and good friend Robbie Walker.

Lifting weights wearing a 30Kg vest. That was a hard session.
